We are proud to have created a jersey that celebrates Joy Division's classic album Unknown Pleasures. Released in 1979 by Factory Records, the album artwork by legendary designer Peter Saville features a black and white visualisation of pulsar data.
It's been a significant year in the life of Milltag and I'd like to thank all our customers, partners and staff for making it happen. We started the year helping Brew Dog get their cycling club off the ground followed by a trip to Oman where we had the pleasure of seeing some of our heroes including Cav and Greg van Avermaet pull on our jerseys in the Tour of Oman.
Good things come in three. Like the Holy Trinity, dimensions or sides of a triangle. Now add to that list our new Studio/Showroom/Store at 3 Ravey Street in London's infamous Shoreditch. It also happens to be the third home for Milltag. Spooky.
After a two year hiatus, we are very excited to be once again the official racewear supplier for Kenny Van Vlaminck's 2019 team: Top-Bonk - Science of Shoes Powered by Patrick's Peas. The team will be dressed head to foot in Milltag with a extremely Belgian flavour to the design.
We were approached by the wonderfully acronymed UCLUCC (University College London Union Cycling Club) in March 2017 to take on their kit duties. Tasked with evolving the club design incorporating purple, white and cyan with the UCLU type logo we set to work to give them something fresh and bold.
For years, the thought of custom cycling kit conjured up the image of a tiny fraction of society - the club rider. Out there every Sunday morning - the highways and byways their church; pedalling their religion. Rain or shine, in their garish wool or latterly glorious manmade polyesters, covered in logos of local businesses that shared their love for the quintessential working class sport.
