Last Friday, the lovely people at Laka insurance ran their annual Halloween gravel ride from our studio in Shoreditch. It was great to see Milltag HQ full riders with every kind of bike from hybrid to mountain.
The first motor racing British hill climb championship was held in 1947 and won by a man called Raymond Mays driving a “British Racing Automobile”. That’s cool, but cyclists had been flogging themselves up steep inclines over a short distance for 60 years already.
Our director and resident randonneur Pete Kelsey recently completed one of the most famous audax races in the world: Paris-Brest-Paris. It’s not his first rodeo and he’s certainly learnt a lot from his previous endurance efforts. “I did PBP back in 2011 and loved it, but probably more relevant for this edition was the LEL (London Edinburgh London 1400km) ride I did in 2017.
Oman, not somewhere I’d ever thought I’d visit let alone visit to see a cycle race that Milltag was the official racewear partner. However, after two days in Muscat, I can safely say that we will be back.
