Brought together by the experience of racing against each other, OCTÄVE was created to be the banner under which we could race together. We created a team that we could shape to fit the experiences we seeked. By standing side by side on the start line provide we created platform we wanted to learn the craft of racing together.
This week sees the start of the 2019 Tour of Colombia and it seems even Chris Froome has fallen for the charms of the cycling-mad South American country. Milltag first started supplying kit to our agents, Velo Colombia in early 2017, and since then the partnership has grown into a significant business with Milltag now well represented both in cycling shops of Bogotá but also in an increasing number of teams turning to Milltag to provide this season’s race kit.
It's been a significant year in the life of Milltag and I'd like to thank all our customers, partners and staff for making it happen. We started the year helping Brew Dog get their cycling club off the ground followed by a trip to Oman where we had the pleasure of seeing some of our heroes including Cav and Greg van Avermaet pull on our jerseys in the Tour of Oman.
We were approached by the wonderfully acronymed UCLUCC (University College London Union Cycling Club) in March 2017 to take on their kit duties. Tasked with evolving the club design incorporating purple, white and cyan with the UCLU type logo we set to work to give them something fresh and bold.
Big Boys Bicycle Club was a glorious mistake, a strange beast that ought never to have lived, yet wound up flourishing in the harsh and fiercely competitive eco-system of London cycling clubs. What made them so special? They set out to be a cycling club full of people you might actually want to hang out with, not just ride with.
