TCoD: Issue One

“A thing about riding bikes”

If we are not making cycling clothing, then we are cycling. If we are not cycling then we are reading about cycling. So, new fanzine The Coefficient of Drag is a welcome and excellent addition to our bookshelves. Created by Messrs Bradshaw and Hockett it’s a sideways look at the sport we love, designed and printed in a style in keeping with a classic fanzine.

– 100 rectangular pages about riding bikes
– numbered ltd. edition of 100
– amazing poster print of Didi the Devil by Thomas Slater
– inc. UFOs, sporks, legs, recipes, graffiti, banana
– Instagram / coffee table friendly
– portable
– printed on beautiful G.F.Smith papers
– doubles as a fan in hot weather
– flammable in survival situation
– misprints
– typos
– 100% pulpable

Issue No.1 features the amazing words and artwork of (in no particular order): Tim Bladon, Lindsay Bayer, Sam Waller, RMF Mane, David Bailey Food Legend, Tjevan Pettinger, Lucy Jackson, Neil Dougnehaan, Renson Adams, Henrik Orre, Thomas Slater, Rob Bailey, Harry Stukker, Tim De Waele, Pieter Van Hoorebeke, Mark Edwards, Eurosport, C Bradshaw & SJ Hockett.

One person has described it as “MAXIMUM ROCK ‘N’ ROLL BUT IN LYCRA AND ON WHEELS.” Someone else said it was like “A PERSON IN A BANANA COSTUME RUNNING UP THE COL DU TOURMALET”. That was me just now tbh, but I’m sticking to it.
