A good club kit is paramount. Get it right and it’s the perfect reason for new members to join. On the other hand, we also know how difficult and time consuming it can be designing and organising club kit for your members. That's why we created the best custom cycle club kit available.

Club+ provides a secure online store for your club where your members can login during a requested order period and purchase the items they require from us direct. As well as removing a major headache of collecting orders and money from your members it also means we can offer discounts to your members if they purchase a number of items.

Once the total order is collated and approved at the end of the period, production commences. Dispatch is then 4-6 weeks and can be shipped either to a club representative for distribution or direct to each individual club member.

For UK clubs of 250+ members we can bring a full sample range of our products to show your members, try for size and generally get to know you.

All our products are fully customisable and for larger clubs we can also offer custom zip pulls and silicon gripper.

We do recommend that we enter a contracted period as your kit supplier to allow you to carefully manage when kit is ordered to look after the needs and concerns of both long-term and more recent members. It also means that there is a clear renewal date to allow you to talk to us but your requirements (and perhaps other companies, although we think that’s unlikely!)

In addition to producing your kit, we can of course help with the design of your custom cycling kit and are more than happy to come and meet with your members so they can try for size and ask any questions.

Working with Milltag for your custom cycling kit should be a long-term partnership where we can constantly discuss how to improve your club and ourselves - new products, testing, key order times and stock management.

Foxgrove CC

Dan from Foxgrove approached us in early 2015 having decided to start his own cycling club in Beckenham,South East London following a charity bike ride. The idea was the create a haven for riders of all abilities from members of previous London clubs to complete novices. Having registered with British Cycling with the beginnings of kit ideas, we got together and we completed the full range. We followed up with a face-to-face event at a club night where we introduced ourselves and our products, allowed members to try kit for sizing and quality.

Having finalised the range, we agreed a pre-order period and created the Foxgrove shop page on our site for the members to buy the products they wanted. Under 2 months later and the kit is dispatched to happy members.

A few weeks later and we open a second pre-order with added Autumn/Winter kit and a fantastic review appeared in Cycling Plus magazine.

"The kit looks fantastic, the design is perfect, I love the club colours.  I have the bib shorts, and the size I have fit me perfectly.  The chamois padding is nicely contoured and is very effective, far more effective than other cycling shorts that I have.  The jersey is also very nice, the small zip up pocket on the back is genius and means I can securely zip away my debit card and beer tokens.  I found that the sizing chart is accurate for a "racing" (tight) fit, which is to be expected from performance sport clothing. The online shop is very nice to use too, I like it..” Todd Fielder, Foxgrove Cycling Club member.

Lea Valley CC

Having undergone a fresh rebrand by club rider Charlie, Lea Valley CC (formed 1969) went out looking for a new manufacturer that would do it justice. Thankfully, we jumped through all the hoops and questions they posed for us and two months later the result is a beautiful mix of classic style and contemporary.

LVCC's Charlie: "‘Getting everyone excited about wearing their club colours was important for me and fellow artist Barnaby Barford. We retained historical elements of the clubs visual appearance whilst bringing it bang up to date with bold shapes and clean type. This was all topped off with quality kit from Milltag which allowed the design to shine."

At Milltag we believe that your kit should be unique. That’s why we don’t have design templates that you can re-colour and drop in logos. We work with you to create something that will make you proud, after all, putting on kit you love sets the tone for the day and could be the mental difference between winning or losing.

You may have a design that doesn’t need changing and that’s fine - we understand the importance of tradition and continuity. But if you fancy a change, we can help you create something that you and your members love for years to come.

We strive to maintain the highest levels of service in an industry where service is so often seen as an optional extra. That’s why so many customers come back to us year after year.

Minimum orders: We always request that you order at least ten items of a single product. However, if you order over £1500 worth of the same jerseys then we will reduce the minimums to five for other items.

Milltag Terms and Conditions

Use the Milltag sizing guide to work out your ideal garment size.

If you are unsure of the sizing your require, contact us at and we’ll help you choose the perfect size.

All our products come in men’s, women’s and children’s specific sizing and cuts for maximum comfort and perfect fit. If you require extra tailoring, for example a longer body for the taller rider, then just ask.

Jerseys, gilets and jackets: Unless stated ‘Race Fit’, our jerseys are a standard ‘Club’ fit for most cyclists so if you are usually a medium in a t-shirt then a medium jersey should be perfect for you, although obviously a more snug fit for riding.

Bibs and tights: These are designed with stretch fabrics to fit snugly. Check your waist size with the Milltag sizing guide.

The leadtime for production and delivery is 6-8 weeks from artwork approval and ordering. If you have a specific deadline please let us know as soon as possible so we can check our production schedule and see what we can do. The earlier you can tell us the better so we can book you a production slot - artwork can always follow later.

Artwork Format: To create the sharpest print, you should provide your logos and graphics in either of the  following file formats:

  • Adobe Illustrator ‘.ai’
  • Encapsulated Post Script ‘.eps’
  • High resolution - over 300 dpi ‘.pdf’

Artwork Colours: We can print either using Pantone or CMYK colours. There is no extra charge for number of colours (unless stated), so you can be as bold and colourful as you like.

We are proud supporters of independent bike shops. That’s why we created Shop+.

Let us design and create a clothing collection for your bike shop providing you with an exclusive range for your brand that can’t be found anywhere else. It means no more customers trying on clothing to check the fit before ordering online at a discount, a greater margin to earn and maximum exposure for your shop.

York Cycleworks

Established in 1980, YCW is a icon in Yorkshire cycling. The initial contact from Fraz was purely to make the club kit. However, after a few conversations we offered to take a look at their brand in order to improve the kit and potentially create a shop collection too.

Read about the branding process.

Inspired by the club colours of sky blue, orange and red (together with black and white) we created a classic cycle bands concept that could work across all manner of products.

The club kit was evolved and simplified but remains one of the most recognisable in the UK. Whilst the Shop collection is more subtle in its use of colour.

Having been on sale for a full season, we have needed to do a second and third production run and it’s fair to say that we are proud to work with such a well established shop and look forward to working together for many years.

With vast experience in designing identities for major brands before Milltag was established, we are uniquely placed to be able to create new brands or rebrand your cycling specific  business or project to include all the usual requirements but also custom cycling kit.

We specifically pride ourselves on the work we do branding bike shops. We understand that these shops often have little experience in branding and also a concern for the cost of undertaking a radical overhaul. With our Shop+ program, we are able to work the costs and time of branding into the purchase of clothing and therefore make the process as simple and cost effective as possible.

Take a look at the case studies for examples of the Shop+ process and contact if you would like us to work on your brand.

We understand that independent bike shops may have little experience in brand identity and also a concern for the cost of undertaking a radical overhaul. But with Shop+ we are able to work the costs and time of branding into the purchase of clothing and thus make the process as simple and painless as possible.

The old brand was a ‘C’ logo in a rather Specialised style (!) with the tagline ‘Tailwinds Always”.

Inspired by the club colours of sky blue, orange and red (together with black and white) we created a classic cycle bands concept that could work across products.

The logo was a little more tricky. A good logo in today’s world has to work alone as well as a tiny thumbnail icon on social media on your mobile. We were also conscious that the full logo should be fairly corporate and that there was a possibility of a secondary treatment that was softer and had more personality, a bit more retro if you like.

The team loved the new direction and immediately put the new brand into practice.
